Recycled Sculpture Contest
The CORE Organization Recycled Sculpture Contest celebration is this Saturday, April 21, 2019 at the Tiverton Public Library from 10:15am until 11:30am. The winners of the contest will be announced, Rhode Island Resource Recovery and MaxMan will be there to present ways to recycle and there will also be an eco-art project for children to participate in, along with refreshments and prizes for contest winners and other children who attend the contest & Earth Day celebration. Even if you haven’t entered a sculpture you are still welcome to attend!

Second Saturdays at Tiverton Public Library – The second Saturday of each month is a community arts event at the Tiverton Public Library, open to all ages!
The Second Saturday program runs from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm the second Saturday of each month in the community room at the Tiverton Public Library. No registration required. Just drop in and create with CORE!
Here’s the upcoming schedule:
November 11: 10,000 Hearts Workshop (a heart seed art project) with Susan E. Fox, Co-founder of the Creative and Expressive Arts Institute at Salve Regina University. Learn more about the project HERE.
December 9: Magic Boxes – combining personal poetry based on Kit Wright’s poem The Magic Box, with art, led by Kim Sutherland, local teacher and writer. Participants will have the option at the end of the workshop to read their own Magic Box inspired poetry aloud and share their magic boxes for recording into an anthology which will be posted on the CORE website for all to enjoy.
